Stefan Eberhard is an award-winning amateur photographer with interests in many areas of photography, including landscapes, nature, macro, close-ups, abstracts and photomicrography (photography through a microscope).

It all started many years ago when Stefan purchased his first SLR, a second-hand Fujica with a couple of fixed focal length lenses. With this camera he taught himself the basics of photography and soon thereafter upgraded to a new Minolta X-700.

Stefan’s casual hobby developed slowly into a more serious pastime and in the mid 90’s he purchased the newly-released Nikon N70 including a macro lens and a sturdy tripod. Many of the images in his galleries were shot with the N70 film-camera.

When the digital age came upon us, Stefan went digital in 2004 with the new Nikon D70.  Digital photography opened the doors to a more creative approach to photography for Stefan, and last year he purchased the fantastic 12mp Nikon D300.

Stefan lives with his family in the buzzing town of Athens, Georgia, USA.
